After obtaining his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law and gaining his license to practice law in the State of New Jersey, Mr. Bonus began to focus his practice on criminal defense and drunk driving.  Mr. Bonus is Alcotest Certified and is among approximately 50 NJ lawyers certified in the operation and maintenance of the Drager Alcotest 7110, the instrument used to test breath samples for blood alcohol content (“BAC”) in NJ.  Furthermore, Mr. Bonus is also Standardized Field Sobriety Certified and one of five lawyers in the state certified by the National Transportation Safety Administration in proper administration and evaluation of standardized field sobriety tests. These tests are used to establish both probable cause to arrest and also prove a driving while intoxicated (DWI) case where there is no scientific evidence of blood alcohol content (e.g. Alcotest readings or blood sample readings).
